This month I’ve really been enjoying the poses in the Healing Hearts yoga challenge. They’ve been poses that open up your heart and are wonderful stretches for your back. This has been one of my favorite sets of poses so far (I know I say that every month) because the poses aren’t necessarily difficult, but they can always be taken a bit deeper to make them more difficult.
Part of the challenge this month is also reflecting on things we are grateful for, so along with each picture, I’ve added my little bit of gratitude for the day.
I’m grateful that both of my parents are in good health, and were visiting over weekend.
I’m grateful for the house that we live in. We also had a wonderful real estate agent that went above and beyond for us.
I’m grateful for work and the really wonderful people that I work with.
I’m grateful for the right to vote!
I’m grateful for all the companies that are making vegan products more mainstream. Companies like Daiya Foods, SO Delicious, and Gardein that offer amazing alternatives to meat and dairy.
I’m grateful for my fur baby, Fox. He found me after only two weeks of living alone in my first apartment. He used to sleep on top of my chest every night and would sit in the tub when I showered. He’s in a bunch of my yoga photos because he knows I’ll sit on the floor and cuddle with him.
I’m grateful for people who have reached out to me when I’ve felt shy or closed off. Sometimes I have a hard time opening up to people and I’m grateful for those that have looked past that and connected with me anyway.
Leave me a comment on Instagram if you’re doing the challenge too!
