A new month means a new yoga challenge, and I’m excited for this one. For September, I did two challenges, but they ended up having most of the same poses and for the other one I chose, I found the hosts didn’t always post the poses the night before like Kino and Kerri (beachyogagirl) always do. This month, and most likely from now on, I’m just going to stick to one challenge.
This month’s challenge is sponsored by Alo Yoga, and hosted by the always amazing @KinoYoga and @beachyogagirl.
I did decide on a new overall goal though. I’d really like to be able to move from crow pose, to a handstand. Like this and this It looks incredibly hard, and I’m no where near landing it yet.
This might sound like a ridiculously long outlook, but I’m giving myself a year to be able to do it. I have no problem with the strength of holding a handstand, as I’ve been practicing holding them for up to 2 minutes with a wall, but I have a hard time pushing up into one without swinging my legs too far. I think the precise, controlled movements will help me increase core strength and balance.
Are you doing this month’s yoga challenge?
